LPG Shortage

Disruption in the supply of cooking gas cylinders, often geopolitical or seasonal.

Definition

LPG cylinder supply can disrupt operations for 1–7 days during geopolitical shocks, refinery outages, or transport strikes. Restaurants typically run 3–8 cylinders/week; a 3-day closure during a busy weekend can cost ₹50K–₹3L. Supply Watch flags LPG news 2–4 days early.
