Built in Pune. For 1.3 lakh restaurants that open every year.
The origin story
A restaurant owner in Pune had to close for three days because LPG cylinders ran out during a geopolitical supply disruption. He had a perfect demand forecast — he knew it would be a busy weekend. But the gas ran out.
The information that the shortage was coming was publicly available — news headlines, mandi prices, social chatter. But there was no system watching for it and connecting it to his specific kitchen.
That's why Forkcast tracks supply signals alongside demand. Knowing you'll do ₹35,000 tomorrow is useless if you can't cook. The forecast is the foundation. The supply watch is the insurance.
What we believe
India-first by default
Western forecasting tools have no concept of Shravan, Ekadashi, or wedding muhurat. We do — and we model them at the dish level.
Forecast first, advice second
We don't give generic advice. We surface specific, dated, rupee-quantified actions for the next 24 hours.
Owners-friendly, not VC-friendly
Pricing is set so a single ingredient catch pays for the year. We are not a usage-based platform that makes more money when you struggle.
Supply intelligence is a moat
Mapping 'Iran sanctions' → 'LPG shortage in Karnataka' → 'your kitchen uses 3 cylinders/week' is the data layer competitors cannot quickly replicate.
One engine, three verticals
Restaurant. Hotel F&B. Catering. The calendar, supply, and cost-tracking layers are shared. The ingest adapters change.
