FSSAI Licence

The mandatory food business licence issued by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.

Definition

FSSAI is the central authority for food safety. Every food business in India needs an FSSAI registration (small) or licence (state/central). Restaurants typically need a State licence: ₹2,000–₹5,000/year, valid 1–5 years, renewable through the FoSCoS portal.
